Billy Irwin is Managing Partner of the firm and is head of advisory services. Billy has over 30 years experience advising on business and financial matters.

He has particular expertise in identifying the core challenges that face individual businesses. He has gained a considerable reputation for his strategic advice and negotiation skills through his work in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, business and financial restructuring, succession planning and implementation. He also heads up our business restructuring and insolvency team.

Billy has served as chairman of the Midwest branch of the Irish Taxation Institute and is involved with the Board of Management of Rockwell College. He is also chairman of an Irish based company with multi-national corporate shareholders.

Peter Blair is the Audit and Compliance Partner of the firm. Peter has over 25 years experience in the area of audit and business advice. He is also the Finance Partner within the firm.

He has specific responsibility for all audit-related issues within the firm together with providing general advice to clients. He also has experience in due diligence.

As Compliance Partner, he has specific responsibility for all internal and external regulatory matters.

Peter has a keen understanding of the uses and implementation of computerised systems.

Leo Hudson, a graduate from University of Limerick, qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995. He became a Partner in 2003 and has almost 20 years experience.

Leo is responsible for the delivery of Corporate Services and has built a particular reputation in the Renewable Energy sector. Working closely with clients he has taken projects from “idea” through planning, banking, licensing, legal agreements, fundraising, construction and implementation.

He has a strong interest and considerable experience in cost control and management within business, playing a key role with many of our clients across a variety of sectors.

Colm Browne is the Tax Partner in the firm. He has specialised in the area of tax law and practice for the past 10 years.

He has broad experience in advising both personal and corporate clients in areas of reorganisations, structuring businesses for sale, succession planning and Revenue audits.

Colm previously worked as a Tax Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers and BDO Simpson Xavier prior to joining O’Hurley Blair Irwin in 2006.

He represents the Irish Taxation Institute on the South West Region Branch Network with the Revenue Commissioners.
