Colm Browne

Colm is the Tax Partner with OBI and specialises in advising both personal and corporate clients in areas of company reorganisation and structuring businesses for sale including tax due diligence work, estate and succession planning, Revenue audits, VAT issues and tax credits relating to research & development.

His clients include family run businesses, owner operators, large corporations, high net worth individuals, business executives and PAYE workers with other income. He also provides taxation services to other accountancy firms who do not have an internal tax advisor.

He trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers and was appointed Tax Manager with the firm before joining BDO as Tax Manager.  He joined OBI in 2006 as Tax Director and was appointed Tax Partner in 2008.  Colm has in excess of 12 years experience in the area of tax law and practice and has written and lectured on taxation matters and acted as external examiner for third level tax examinations.  He represents the Irish Taxation Institute on the South West Region Branch Network with the Revenue Commissioners.

Colm is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Colm is a native of Co. Clare.  He has a keen interest in sport, particularly GAA, rugby, soccer and golf and is a member of some local community based groups.
